Amazon Maps

Check out Amazon's A9 mapping site @ maps.a9.com. Be sure to take a look at the blockview images. For those of you who live off of popular streets, you are likely to see a picture of your place.

Wow, the block view is totally awesome. However, their navigation interface is so un-Google as to be almost unusable. I'm not sure if that reflects poorly on Google's web-mapping dominance or Amazon's interface designers.

Thanks, Abe! As if I needed another way to waste time online! Very cool, but if I can ask a skeptical question, what's the business model for this undoubtedly-expensive project? As notes, it seems a bit "dot com era".
