Watershed land use and wetland disturbance

Byrd, K., M. Kelly and A. Merenlender. 2007. Temporal relationships between watershed land use and salt marsh disturbance in a Pacific estuary. Environmental Management 39(1): 98‐112

We show that salt marsh recovery after disturbance depends on relative cover of different land use classes in the watershed, with greater chances of recovery associated with less intensive agriculture. Pdf download.
